How to Donate

As a registered charity we rely entirely on donations and fundraising to raise money. We are affiliated with the National Deaf Children’s Society however we are responsible for our own fundraising and any donation will stay local.

The last couple of years have been tough on most of us and the impact of covid has been felt by deaf children and their families as they have not been able to meet face to face. This means that the events we organise are more important than ever. As you can imagine fundraising during COVID-19 came to a stop, so we are very keen to increase our funds so we can start planning events and getting our members back together.

If you would like to donate, you can use the JustGiving details below which means 100% of the donation is passed to EDCS. Or, please email info@essexdcs.org.uk for our bank details, or you can send a cheque payable to "EDCS" to our Treasurer at: EDCS, c/o 1 Ditton Court Road, Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex SS0 7HG

Donate with JustGiving.Pay with Mastercard, Visa, American express, PayPal, Apple Pay or Direct Debit.

Essex Lottery

The Essex Lottery is an exciting weekly lottery that raises money for good causes in Essex. All good causes supported by the lottery will benefit Essex and its residents.

Play the lottery, support Essex - it’s that simple!

Tickets for the lottery cost just £1 a week. Each ticket has a 1 in 50 chance to win a prize each week, with a top prize of £25,000! That’s a better chance of winning than the National Lottery or the Health Lottery.

Each ticket has six numbers and each number is between 0 and 9. There will be a draw every Saturday night when a six digit winning combination will be picked. Prizes will be given to players with tickets that match the first or last 2 to 6 numbers from the winning combination. Match all six and you win the jackpot!

Hands 4 VoicesMar-22

We would like to say a huge thank you to Carol from Hands 4 Voices.

In March she organised an afternoon tea for her choir members, we understand it was a lovely chance to get together, eat, drink, chat and laugh.

Thank you all for your kind and generous donation from this event!

Erica Webb SelfKindJan-22

We would like to say a huge thank you to Erica from Erica Webb SelfKind.

Each quarter she donates 5% of her membership and session fees to charity, and we were lucky to be nominated and successful in receiving some money this month.

Erica runs her own Yoga & Movement business offering private sessions and monthly membership to her "SelfKind Hub" as well as her "Movement and Mindfulness" Podcast.

This donation comes in all the way from Australia, we think that has to win an award for furthest donation to our charity!

Huge thanks to Erica again for this lovely gesture and donation.

Creeksea ManorDec-21

On the 26th November, a band called the Flying Hornets held a charity gig at Creeksea Place Manor House. The night was a great success! The lead singer Dawn had even learnt some BSL to use to sign one of the songs. On the 7th December 2021 a cheque was presented to us, a picture of which is below.

We would like to say a huge thank you to Dawn, the Flying Hornets and the amazing Creeksea team for all their efforts in helping us to raise this fantastic amount!

LionsNov-21

On the 24th November 2021 we were very lucky to have been presented with a cheque from the International Lions Association. We were previously supported by the Lions in 2019, so are extremely grateful to have received this cheque from them and for their continued support. We will be using the funds this year to go towards event planning. Here is a picture from the presentation.

Fundraising Announcement!

We have been very lucky to have been nominated as the Charity that "Hands 4 Voices", a local BSL signing choir, raise funds for! We would like to say a huge thank you to the choir leader Carol for choosing us, and we look forward to working with them in 2022.
